Science World At TELUS World Of Science - Vancouver British Columbia
I’m so excited to share with y’all one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in Canada – Science World in Vancouver, British Columbia!
There’s something about Science World that makes me feel like a kid again. Maybe it’s the interactive displays or the fact that the building itself looks like a giant geodesic dome, but either way, it’s definitely worth a visit.
The exhibits cover everything from biology to physics to engineering and beyond. You can learn about the human body, test your balance on a giant gyroscope, or create your own stop-motion animation. There’s honestly something for everyone.
One of my favorite exhibits is the Eureka! gallery, which showcases inventions from some of the world’s greatest minds. It’s really inspiring to see how creative people can be when they put their minds to it.
If you’re interested in space, you’ll love the Planetarium. You can watch shows about the stars and planets in the theaters, or even take a virtual tour of the universe on a giant globe.
And don’t worry about getting hungry – there’s a great restaurant on site called Triple O’s that serves up tasty burgers and other fast food favorites. Plus, there’s a gift shop where you can pick up some souvenirs to remember your visit.
History
Science World originally opened as a pavilion for the World’s Fair in 1986. After the fair ended, it was converted into a science museum and has been a popular attraction ever since. The building’s unique design was created by architect Bruno Freschi, and it’s become an iconic landmark in Vancouver.
