Through interactive exhibits and informative displays, visitors can gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of the art and the artists who created it.

Another unique feature of Museum Ritter is our commitment to accessibility. We believe that contemporary art should be enjoyed by all, regardless of background or physical abilities. History

Museum Ritter first opened its doors in 2005, thanks to the philanthropic efforts of Marli Hoppe-Ritter. Marli's father, Alfred Ritter, founded the Ritter Sport chocolate company, which allowed Marli to pursue her passion for art and open the museum.

Since then, Museum Ritter has grown to become one of the most respected contemporary art museums in Germany. Our collection has continually expanded, and we've hosted numerous exhibitions and events to further educate and engage our visitors.
